Rosh HaShanah: Jewish New Year

 

Blow a trumpet in Zion

          

 

“Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets.” (Num 29:1)

“Blow a trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, For the day of the LORD is coming; Surely it is near.” (Joel 2:1)
